 ~ A Time For Change . . . .
I love Fall/Breeding season! It is a time of change; a time for my husband and me to look at where we have been with our goat herd this year. Are we happy with the animals we have produced so far? What worked? What didn?t? Where do we want to go from here?
Our goal is for a new year with greater rewards. We know some of our goats & practices will stay the same and we know some will change, and many of those changes will happen this fall.
Fall is a time of change, and as the seasons change, so has our association: For the benefit of the MBGA and by resolution of the Board of Directors, there has been a change in the Executive Board.
As acting President I, Karen Ibarra ask each of you to look at where we, as an Association have been so far and where do we want to go from here? Now?..
Help us forge the plan for a new year of greater rewards with your participation in these events:
- We have 3 Board of Directors seats open for the 2010-2012 term. We need nominations for these by October 31st.
- 4th Annual Breed Sale @ MSU is October 31st. We need help conducting and consignments.
- General Membership Meeting/Christmas Party December 12th. All members are invited.
We need your ideas & comments, suggestions & brainstorms. We need YOU to be part of the Association's successes this year and a partner in the greater accomplishments next year for the entire goat industry in the Midwest.
Look in your soon-to-arrive Newsletter for details on these events. Call any one of the sitting Board members with any questions and/or suggestions you have-we want ALL your input.
Our Mission Statement defines our Association's task: "The production, promotion and positive marketing of the Boer Goat Breed, through ethical practices and honest representation."
The Board of Directors is committed to working beside you to achieve this. |
